Everything you type above goes to SSGC directly. This site never asks for your CNIC, password, OTP or card details — and nobody legitimate needs them to show you your own gas bill. If the frame does not load on your network, use the “open in a new tab” button.

Prefer SMS? Text your consumer number to 7742 for the amount and due date.

Amount looks off? Recalculate it from your HM3 consumption.

Tired of lost bills? Register for eBill and get it by SMS and email.

How to check your SSGC duplicate bill

The whole process takes about two minutes. The only thing you need in advance is your consumer number.

  1. 1

    Find your consumer number

It is in the top block of every SSGC bill, labelled Consumer No. or Customer No., near your name and address. Most domestic accounts print a ten-digit number — count the digits on your own bill rather than assuming.

  2. 2

    Type it into the portal

Digits only. No spaces, dashes or slashes, and no name or extra text. If you are copying from a photo of the bill, re-read it twice — a mis-typed digit produces the same error as a wrong account.

  3. 3

    Complete the captcha

Type the characters shown. It is case-sensitive, so refresh for a clearer image rather than guessing between 0 and O.

  4. 4

    Submit and read the bill

Your current bill appears: amount payable within the due date, the amount after it, the billing month, and the previous and present meter readings the charge is based on. Read those two readings — they are the first thing to check if the total surprises you.

  5. 5

    Download or print it

Save the PDF. It is the same document as the posted bill and is accepted for payment everywhere. Keep it until the next bill confirms the payment cleared.

Understanding what the bill actually says

Most people look at one number and close the page. The three sections below are where billing mistakes hide, so they are worth two minutes of your attention every month.

1. The consumer block

Consumer number, name, address, tariff category and meter number. Check the tariff category once a year — being billed as non-protected when you qualify as protected costs real money every month, and the correction is not automatic.

Protected vs non-protected

2. The consumption block

Previous reading, present reading, gas consumed in HM3, and the MMBTU equivalent after the heating value is applied. If the reading looks estimated — a suspiciously round number, or identical to last month — photograph your meter the same day and keep it.

How to read your meter

3. The charges block

Gas charge, fixed charges, GST, any late payment surcharge, arrears, and the two payable figures — within the due date and after it. A jump you cannot explain is usually arrears rather than a change in your usage.

Why bills spike

A worked example

Say the bill shows a previous reading of 4,182 and a present reading of 4,190. That is 8 HM3 consumed. Multiply by the month's heating value to get MMBTU, price that at your slab rate, add the fixed charge, then add GST. If the total on your bill is far from that figure, something in the middle needs explaining.

Portal problems and how to fix them

Six things go wrong regularly. Almost all of them have a fix you can apply yourself in a couple of minutes.

What you seeWhy it happensWhat to do
Record not found / invalid consumer numberA digit is missing, or the number belongs to a closed account.Count the digits on your paper bill and re-enter every one. If the connection was recently transferred to your name, the consumer number may have changed — call 1199 to confirm it.
Page will not load or spins foreverSSGC’s portal is under heavy load, which is common in the first week of a billing cycle and at month end.Wait ten to fifteen minutes and try again, or try late at night. Switching from mobile data to Wi-Fi also helps if your connection is dropping.
Captcha keeps being rejectedThe image is case-sensitive and easily misread — 0 vs O and 1 vs l are the usual culprits.Refresh the captcha until you get a clear one. Type it in a text field first if you want to check it, then paste.
Bill shows but the amount looks wrongThe month may have been billed on an estimated reading, or arrears from an earlier month have rolled in.Compare the present reading on the bill with your actual meter, then use our meter reading calculator. If they differ, file a billing complaint with the reading and a photo of the meter.
No bill for the current month yetBills are generated on a cycle, not all on the first of the month.Check the last bill’s issue date and add roughly a month. Your reading date depends on your zone’s meter-reading schedule.
New connection, nothing in the systemA connection has no billing record until the first meter reading is taken.Wait for the first billing cycle to close. Until then there is nothing to display, which is normal and not a fault.
If none of these help, call SSGC on 1199 or message the WhatsApp support numbers with your consumer number.

Still stuck after all that?

SSGC's WhatsApp support handles billing queries with a written trail, which is useful if the problem takes more than one conversation.

Questions about checking your bill

Is a downloaded duplicate bill accepted for payment?

Yes. A printed duplicate carries the same consumer number, amount and due date as the posted original, and banks, Easypaisa and JazzCash agents, post offices and SSGC customer centres all accept it. If you are paying through a bank or wallet app you do not even need to print it — the app fetches the amount from your consumer number.

Do you store my consumer number?

No. The portal below is SSGC's own page, loaded inside a frame. What you type goes to SSGC directly — it does not pass through us, and we keep no record of it. See our privacy policy for what we do and do not collect.

How far back can I see old bills?

The portal shows the current bill. For a longer history, the SSGC Customer Connect app keeps several months of billing records against your account, which is the easiest way to compare this month with the same month last year. For anything older, a written request at your zone office is the route.

Can I check a bill without the consumer number?

Not through the portal — the consumer number is the only key it accepts. If you have lost every copy of the bill, take your CNIC and proof of address to your SSGC zone office and they can look the account up. There is no CNIC-based online search, so treat any site offering one with suspicion.

Does checking my bill online cost anything?

No. Viewing, downloading and printing your bill is free on SSGC’s portal and free here. No legitimate service charges to show you your own bill, and nobody needs your card details to do it.

The due date has already passed. What now?

Pay as soon as you can — the late payment surcharge is applied to the unpaid balance, so every additional billing cycle makes it worse and eventually leads to disconnection. Our late payment calculator shows what the surcharge adds up to, and the surcharge guide explains the disconnection and reconnection process.
